I was really bummed when I was unable to see Motionless In White when they came through Tucson, AZ on the Trinity of Terror tour, due to vocalist Chris "Motionless" Cerulli coming down with "an upper respiratory infection.". Thankfully, I have had the good fortune to see them twice since; once at Blue Ridge Rock Festival, and now again at Mesa Amphitheater - the latter being a much more intimate experience. Chris and crew never fail to put on an amazing show, but the new pyrotechnics just took it to another level. The proficiency with which they play makes you feel like you are immersed in their discography. Chris is so engaging and the crowd responds to him like no other frontman. As a Scranton-born Tucson transplant, I am proud to say I share a hometown with Motionless in White.

Knocked Loose…What can be said about one of your favorite bands? They never disappoint, their energy is intoxicating, and you leave their show breathless, not only because they were so good, but because their pit is exhausting. When Knocked Loose played “Counting Worms”, the entire crowd broke out into loud barks. I'm sure “arf arf” could be heard all across Mesa.

After the Burial is a constant in my workout playlist and seeing them live is a testament to why. The energy they elicit from the crowd is uncanny and when the pinch harmonics for “Behold the Crown” broke, the crowd went wild. From crowd surfing to moshing to head banging, everyone was moving.

Sadly, I got to the show after AlphaWolf had performed, but from what people were saying around me, they too had a great high-energy set.
